SP Laboratory perform food quality and food safety analysis of the wide range of raw materials and products: foodstuffs of plant and animal origin, feed, items of general use, as well as analysis of plant protection products, water and pharmaceuticals

Physicochemical analysis
Physicochemical analysis are complementary to the information gathered by microbiological analysis or sensory and organoleptic testing. Such testing enables gathering the necessary information on product’s ingredients (such as protein, fat, water, fiber, salt or ash), a presence of minerals, vitamins, food additives or allergen presence, so as pesticides residues and contaminants (such as heavy metals, mycotoxins, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, acrylamid or dioxins).

Quality control
The quality of food products must be satisfactory when placing the product on the market.
Quality control is performed in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia, where different regulations apply to different product categories.
Before the start of production, production specifications are adopted for the products, in accordance with the law, governing for food safety.
As part of product quality controls, the SP Laboratory checks the compliance of physical and chemical parameters with the applicable regulations, ie with the manufacturer’s specification, as well as sensory analysis and verification of product labels.
Part of consumer protection is the provision of adequate food information, which must not mislead consumers.
Subjects of analysis
