Physicochemical analysis and feed quality

Feed are any substances or products (including an additive) that has been processed, partially processed or unprocessed, and are intended for feeding animals used for food production.

The following can be analyzed in the SP Laboratory:

• nutrients;
• premix;
• mixtures
• feed additives

Also, the food used for pet nutrition, is analyzed

In accordance with the regulations, it is defined that in the business of feed, and in order to control the quality, in the production process, from processing of raw materials to final products, a quality control plan, prepared in writing, is introduced and applied, among other things.

The quality control plan must in particular to include: checking the critical points in the production process, the procedure and frequency of sampling and analysis, as well as the interpretation of compliance with specific values ​​and the way of working in case of non-compliance.

Quality control of feed means its physical, chemical, physico-chemical and nutritional properties.

Analysis of the quality of feed differ depending on the specific nutritional needs of the animals, with regard to the breed, age, gender and category of the animals

As part of feed quality control, the SP Laboratory performs: analysis of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, amino acids.

The regulation defines which amino acids are used as feed additives in pure form as well as the hydroxyanalogues of their amino acids and their salts.
