Who needs tests?
Our food testing services are intended for:
- animal feed producers
- importers and distributors of animal feed
- agricultural farms
- to all others in the process of production and distribution of animal feed
When should tests be performed?
Before starting the production of animal feed the producer have to form a product specification. The quality of feed for animals – its physical, chemical and nutritional properties are determined according to:
- the provisions of the Regulation on the quality of animal feed (Official Gazette RS 4/10, 113/2012, 27/2014, 25/2015, 39/2016, 54/2017) and
- special requirements defined by the manufacturer’s specification, which are adapted to the specific nutritional needs of animals depending on their breed, age, sex and category.
What does the process look like?
The process is simple and adapted to the needs of the customer:
You need animal feed testing -> contact us -> we form an offer with the necessary analysis -> you submit the sample -> the sample is analyzed -> we issue a test report
The necessary amount of sample is stated on the offer.
You can:
- send the sample by courier service to the address SP Laboratorija, Industrijska 3, 21220 Bečej
- personally bring to the laboratory
- we can takeover the sample at the agreed location
- we can carry out sampling at the agreed location
To carry out the analysis, you need to fill out a request for testing – available on the website or in the laboratory when you bring the sample. If you would like us to perform sampling, you need to submit a sampling request available on our web site.
Turnaround time
The standard turnaround time is 3 to 5 working days, depending on the type of analysis. There is a possibility, with prior agreement, to carry out certain analyses, such as:
- pesticide residues
- mycotoxins,
- heavy metals,
- acrylamide,
- individual microbiological tests,
to be performed within a period of 24h or 48h from the arrival of the sample to the laboratory.
Membership in international organizations
We enable companies from the grain, feed and oilseed sectors to access international markets through GMP+, GAFTA and FOSFA compliance.
GMP+
GMP+ is an internationally recognized system with more than 20,000 certified companies in 90 countries for the management of animal feed safety that includes the entire supply chain – from the production of raw materials and additives, through storage and transport, to trade and distribution. SP Laboratorija is a GMP+ registered laboratory for animal feed testing.
GAFTA
GAFTA (Grain and Feed Trade Association) is the leading international grain and feed trade organization. SP Laboratorija is GAFTA approved laboratory, which shows that the analyzes are performed according to internationally recognized standards and that the results are accepted in the global grain and animal feed trade.
FOSFA
FOSFA (Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Associations) is an international organization that develops standards, contracts, arbitration rules and technical guidelines for the world trade in oilseeds, vegetable oils, fats and their products. Its role in the oilseeds sector is similar to the role GAFTA plays in trade in grains and animal feed. Our team holds the FOSFA Associate Analyst certificate, which confirms the application of international standards and test methods in the field of oilseeds, which enables the provision of reliable and professional analyzes in accordance with the requirements of international trade and industry.
